Vivian Beaumont Theater Seating Chart
The Vivian Beaumont Theater contains two further performance spaces in addition to the main Broadway stage, which is atypical of Broadway theatres in its use of of stadium seating and thrust stage configuration. In the main theater facility, seating is separated out over two levels; the main Orchestra level, and the raise Loge level.
The lower level of the building houses the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, which seats 299 and provides a space for intimate off-Broadway shows. The Claire Tow Theater was opened in 2012 on the Vivian Beaumont Theater’s roof. The $42 million project constructed a two-story glass box at the same base width of the main theater itself, with seating for up to 112 patrons in addition to a lobby and bar. The structure’s unique design features a surrounding of aluminum louvers that helps to prevent the sun from causing guests discomfort, while maintaining the special atmosphere of the glass structure.
